DISNEYLAND RESORT ALL-AMERICAN COLLEGE BAND
The All-American College Band was founded in 1971 by then Long Beach City College Director of Bands, Ron Logan. It began as a two-week program and grew to eleven weeks. It was an educational program made up of college students from all over the US. It provided a modern high-energy contrast to the more traditional, turn-of-the-century, "Classic" Disneyland Band. The "New Improved" Disneyland Band fills a similar niche. The College Band is presently on "hiatus" – perhaps it will return. Alumni include Gordon Goodwin, Gene Pokorny, Jennifer Wharton, and more.
