There are many tablets; the iPad is ubiquitous but they are expensive! (Another of my biases rears its ugly head – I'm a Mac guy.) For reading music (especially at my age) get the biggest screen you can afford. A used or refurbished 12.9" iPad Pro could save significant money. Judicious use of online file storage like Dropbox, can minimize memory needs. A colleague has a 2017 12.9" iPad Pro with 64 GB dedicated to sheet music and gets by fine – with pdfs. Piascore is an alternative to forScore. It offers vertical scrolling – forScore does not. I'm evaluating it presently. More will be revealed . . .
*Yeah, I'm a corny old goat.
